Kevin Jerome Everson is an American photographer, filmmaker, painter, and sculptor. Many of his works focus on people working in lower-class communities, and the northward migration of African Americans from the American South. His 2010 film Erie won the Grand Prize at Images Festival that year, and depicts communities of Black factory workers around Lake Erie in single-take 16mm shots. He received the Alpert Award for Film/Video in 2012, and also received the 24th annual Heinz Award for the Arts and Humanities in 2019.
